What's not included?

This membership is built to give you real feedback and support as you find your footing. Our professional hit songwriters will help you sharpen your lyrics and compositions — but the driving is on you. Taking your songwriting and your career further is your job. Heads up: this level doesn't include licensing or management-style services.

Platinum

Ready to level up your lyrics, compositions, demos and performance skills? This tier's for the intermediate songwriter. Here's what you get:

  • Three song notes sessions with professional hit songwriters (platinum- and diamond-selling pros)
  • Two licensing/sync contract reviews — if you're offered a publishing or sync deal, we'll review the contract before you sign
  • One free entry to the SGA Awards, plus discounts on additional entries
  • Live performance opportunities alongside professional hit songwriters
  • Lifelong access to the Members' Studio, where you can build your artist profile, share your music, get feedback from fellow songwriters and stay in the loop on SGA Awards, showcases and more

What's not included?

This tier gives you more support in sharpening your lyrics, compositions, demos and performance skills. What it doesn't include: song placement or other management-style services.

Dual SGA-NYSC Platinum

Get two memberships for the price of one, plus regular live performance events in NYC. Live nearby or can visit? You'll get the most out of this one — but everyone's invited to join. Here's what's included:

From the SGA:

  • Feedback from professional songwriters (diamond- and platinum-selling pros) on two of your songs
  • Two licensing/sync contract reviews, if needed

What's Not Included

This dual SGA-NYSC Platinum membership is built for the intermediate songwriter who's already writing songs but wants to advance their lyric, composition, demo and performance skills. It does not offer song placement or other management-style services.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS

Platinum Pro - Free/$96

Platinum Pro is our newest membership, built for experienced songwriters ready to grow their catalog of published and licensed songs. Here's what's included:

  • During the launch of our licensing site, membership is free for those accepted. After that, it's $96 a year.
  • Most standard Platinum perks apply here too, but this membership centers on our music licensing site — marketed to music supervisors who work with the SGA as well as the general public seeking human-made music for their projects. On the site, supervisors and others can buy pre-licensed use of your songs. Need something more complex than a pre-licensed deal? We'll help you negotiate it.
  • Membership requires an application. Submit two songs to get started — our pro songwriters will review them, and if they're pitch-worthy, your songs go straight onto the licensing site.
  • All songs on this site have been vetted by diamond- and platinum-selling pro songwriters — so if your music's here, it's in good company.

What's Not Included:
This membership markets your music through our licensing site, but it's not a personal song-plugging service. Personal management-style services aren't included.

Diamond is our top-tier membership, designed for professional songwriters (or their heirs) with a catalog of published songs that need catalog administration and royalty collection.​ Diamond members receive professional services including:

  • Copyright termination and recapture
  • Song licensing
  • Royalty collection
  • Contract reviews and services
  • Earnings and other reports

You'll also get all the perks of our other memberships, including:

  • A free entry to the SGA Awards competition plus discounts on additional entries.
  • Access to our music licensing site, where music supervisors and others seeking music for their projects can buy pre-licensed use of your songs.
  • Need something more complex than a pre-licensed deal? We'll help you negotiate it.

To apply, you'll need to identify three published songs as proof of your songwriting catalog.
