Best Music Videos from the Independent Music Awards
I recently had the good fortune to be a judge for the Independent Music Awards. My categories were video related due to my background as a filmmaker, professional cameraman, marketer and musician. I am a jack of all trades. Which probably means expert in none! But that is for others to decide. But when making a music video, even just a video of you performing for your web cam on YouTube, you must be a jack of all trades! So many things are important: 1. The song-of course! 2. The performance. 3. The Sound. 4. The lighting. 5. The concept (if there is one). 6. The camera work 7. And often a message or story (that actually may or may not be inherent in the song)
So you can see there is a lot to think about and a lot to do to make even a decent music video or a personal performance video. So i wanted to try and get the ball rolling and see if anyone notices my post over time so we can start looking at videos and discussing! Consider this the general discussion and following this I will post each of the best music videos from the Independent Music Awards!
