Location, location, location. I like the idea of virtual collaboration. Does that get traction, too. What da yah think? What are your experiences. I'm open to both. - feeling happy
Holly CarruthersOne of the major reasons we're opening free memberships is because we want to increase the likelihood that members can find others with whom they can co-write. I think virtual collaboration is so much easier now there's no reason NOT to consider it. I'm sure being in the same room allows for riffing off one another in a very intimate way but with things like Skype, you can still grab some of that intimate feel.
I think of when Bush the junior placed Cat Stevens (I don't know how to spell his Muslim name) on the no-fly list (yeah, the guy who wrote Peace Train was on the no travel list -- talk about irony). Anyway, Dolly Parton reportedly wrote him and collaborated with him virtually. So, this is definitely an idea whose time has come.
